These heat shield sleeves are specially woven to expand over fittings during installation and return to their original size. With a continuous heat resistance of up to 1,200° F, you can trust that these sleeves will provide reliable protection.
The rolls of Heatshield Products Color Sleeves™ are 25 feet in length, offering ample coverage for your needs. Additionally, the adjustable inside diameter ranges from 5/16 to 7/16 inch, ensuring a secure fit for different applications. You can fasten these sleeves using Thermal-Tie™ or hose clamps, providing a hassle-free installation process.
One of the standout features of these color sleeves is their ability to reduce up to 60% of radiant heat. This makes them ideal for shielding and protecting ignition wires, especially those with an 8 mm diameter. The special weave of the sleeves allows them to expand over fittings and terminals, providing comprehensive coverage.
When it comes to installation, there are a few tips to keep in mind. To expand the inside diameter of the sleeve, you can bunch or shrink the overall length of the sleeve. Conversely, if you need to decrease the inside diameter, you can stretch the overall length. To secure the ends of the sleeve, you have the option of using Thermal-Tie, clamps, wire, or high temp electrical tape.
