VDSLR Cine Lens Features
Samyang 100mm T3.1 VDSLR ED UMC MACRO allows more delicate video work with T number marks. The focus gear ring is installed for follow focus systems. Uncoupled aperture gear rings allows the aperture to be changed quietly and smoothly. Also, distance scale and T numbers are marked on both sides of the lens for user convenience.
Optical Features
Samyang 100mm T3.1 has a low T number of T3.1, allowing precise control of the lens when shooting in various exposure environments, including relatively dark or too bright situations. This lens features 15 lenses in 12 groups, including a high refractive lens (HR) and an extra low dispersion lens (ED) to minimize color aberration and unnecessary light dispersion, creating high resolution throughout the image. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) of Samyang Optics is used to optimize light penetration and minimizes flare and ghost images. The optical construction allows a minimum focal length of 0.307m to film subjects that are very close.
Hardware Features
There are 9 aperture blades designed to be almost a full circle when the aperture is closed. The high-strength aluminum alloy lens frame is compact and solid. The lens comes with a detachable petal-shaped lens hood, which helps to minimize flare and ghost images by sheltering the lens from unnecessary light.
