Uncoupled aperture gear rings allows the aperture to be changed quietly and smoothly. Also, distance scale and T numbers are marked on both sides of the lens for user convenience.

Samyang 100mm T3.1 has a low T number of T3.1, allowing precise control of the lens when shooting in various exposure environments, including relatively dark or too bright situations. This lens features 15 lenses in 12 groups, including a high refractive lens (HR) and an extra low dispersion lens (ED) to minimize color aberration and unnecessary light dispersion, creating high resolution throughout the image. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) of Samyang Optics is used to optimize light penetration and minimizes flare and ghost images. The optical construction allows a minimum focal length of 0.307m to film subjects that are very close.
