The Whistler TRX-1 offers a wide frequency coverage, ranging from 25 MHz to 1300 MHz. It can pick up signals in the following frequency ranges: 25-54 MHz, 108-174 MHz, 216-512 MHz, 764-960 MHz (excluding cellular phone ranges), and 1240-1300 MHz. With its compact dimensions of 5.31 in. H x 2.12 in. W x 1.06 in. L and lightweight design of only 0.46 lbs, this scanner is portable and easy to carry.
In addition to its impressive features, the Whistler TRX-1 is capable of picking up fire, ambulance, and police signals in New Zealand, except for areas in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch that have been encrypted in recent years.
